Accessibility Statement

CalcCopilot is built to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. We want everyone to be able to reach a clear answer to a money, health or everyday question, whatever device or tools they use.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is an ongoing goal rather than a one-time box we tick: as we add and update calculators, we test and refine them so the site keeps getting easier to use.

What we do to keep the site accessible

• Keyboard friendly. Every calculator uses standard buttons, inputs and links, so you can move through and operate the whole site with the keyboard alone. A visible focus outline shows where you are.
• Labelled controls. Form fields have proper labels, and the search box and navigation carry accessible names, so screen readers can announce them correctly.
• Readable contrast. Text and background colours are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio, so content stays legible for low-vision users.
• Clear structure. Pages use real headings and landmark regions (header, main and footer), which lets assistive technology jump straight to the content.
• Works on any screen. The layout is responsive and reflows cleanly on phones, tablets and desktops, and you can zoom in without the page breaking.
• Respects your preferences. If your device asks for reduced motion, we switch off non-essential animation.
• Plain language. We explain each calculator and its results in clear, everyday words.

Known limitations

We try to be honest about where we can still improve. A few of our richer tools include charts and interactive tables that are easier to read visually than through a screen reader; in those cases the same figures are also available as plain text or a data table on the page. If you come across anything that is hard to use, we would genuinely like to hear about it.

Accessibility is never finished. We review the site as we build new calculators and welcome feedback that helps us make it work better for everyone.
